Cervical Radiculopathy (Pinched Nerve) Treatment

The spinal nerve roots in the neck or cervical spine impact the neck, shoulder, arms and hands. When a herniated disc or other complication in the neck causes an impingement on the cervical nerve roots, pain and other symptoms can occur. This condition is called cervical radiculopathy, or a pinched nerve. Our team at Caliber Pain™ offers cervical radiculopathy, or pinched nerve, treatment at our clinic in New York City.

When a bulging or herniated disc puts pressure on a cervical nerve root, there is not always immediate pain or symptoms. Cervical radiculopathy symptoms can occur slowly over time or may suddenly occur when more pressure is exerted on the nerves. While neck pain is possible, a pinched nerve in the neck often will be felt more intensely in the affected arm. The symptoms of cervical radiculopathy can include pain, numbness, tingling and muscle weakness radiating from the neck to the lower arm.

Relief from Pinched Nerve Symptoms

Relieving pressure on the pinched nerve in the neck can offer relief from cervical radiculopathy. Our spine specialists at Caliber Pain™ perform diagnostic testing to determine the source of pinched nerve symptoms and will recommend cervical radiculopathy treatment. When conservative treatments are ineffective, interventional medicine may be recommended. Corticosteroid injections or nerve blocks may be considered, as well as other treatment modalities, to reduce pressure on the pinched nerve.

If you have neck or arm pain, weakness or numbness, you may be suffering from cervical radiculopathy. For an expert diagnosis and pinched nerve treatment, contact Caliber Pain™ in Midtown Manhattan to schedule your appointment. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to spine pain treatment to give you relief.
